4 Rules I Live By

You'd be surprised at how the Universe sends you signs. How many times have you stressed about something, then later found out it wasn't worth you reacting that way? Or even giving it your energy?
1. Accept What You Cannot Change
I'm a big believer that everything in life happens for a reason. It's time to look at what you view as setbacks as a redirection. Determining what you can and cannot control is key to life. You'll be able to move forward and refocus your energy on things you can change. Maya Angelou once said, "if you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
2. Learn Coping Skills
We're bound to go through difficult times, but what matters most is how we decide to cope with them. For me, meditation has been extremely helpful. I focus on my breath (this is actually harder than it sounds... close your eyes right now and think about NOTHING for 5-10 minutes, just your breath). It helps me regain focus and feel lighter, being able to move forward with ease.
3. Move On
I get it, we all get stuck sometimes. Work on learning to leave people/situations that are no longer serving you. Give yourself a big, tight hug with both arms. Right now.
Seriously, embrace yourself! Rock side to side, let that smile creep in. Choose you.
4. Stop Taking Things Personally
This is essential to help shift your mindset to a better place. Practice self-love and accept yourself. The things we tend to focus on about ourselves are usually minuscule to the world. Try not to be so hard on yaself.
